Wordpress Goes to Version 2.1.1

It seemed like only a few weeks ago that I upgraded to version 2.0 then 2.1 and now 2.1.1. I’m starting to become a PRO at this now! Highlights of this upgrade include “about 30 bug fixes, mostly minor things around encoding, XML-RPC, the object cache, and HTML code”. Sounds important. I guess I better upgrade, and I suggest you do too.
This time, I’m not as apprehensive about it. I’ve already done an upgrade at least two times already in the last month. Backup database, shut down plugins, overwrite old files, turn on plugins, enjoy. I hope it goes as smoothly tonight. If my blog isn’t screwed up tomorrow, you’ll know the upgrade was a success

I’ve been lazy the last few times and not shut down my plugins before doing the upgrade. I did run into one problem with a plugin the last time though.
