The BEAST Comes Out of the Basement…

To change things up from my daily running routine, I decided to take the BEAST out for a ride today. Nothing too gnarly. Just around the easy local trails for some cardio. I’ve forgotten so much since I put her away last fall. To think I was doing 5 or 6 foot drops with my other bike. One step at a time for both of us I guess!

Yeah. I’ve never had such a high end bike before last year. The stuff I was riding was at least a couple grand below.

That Bike looks pretty burley. Have you ridden any serious off-road stuff on it yet?

Not really. I got this bike really late at the end of last season, so I haven’t had a chance to “Break Her In”. The tallest thing I’ve gone off so far is a ladder bridge to flat about 4 feet off the ground. My old bike has seen larger, and I know this bike will take me even higher.

a couple of the guys who work at my bike shop do the DH thing, they go to ski resorts and go balls out. its crazy, they have suits of armor they put on.

I do have a suit of armour, but I tempt fate on the local trails with just a full face and leg armour.
