Vlog #1 – Getting a SIM, Local Currency and More in Taiwan

Vlog #1 – Getting a SIM, Local Currency and More in Taiwan

As mentioned in my Amba Hotel Room Tour Video Post, I’m in Taiwan for business in conjunction with a media tour put on by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). They’re paying so I’m going but you won’t need to twist my arm for this trip to Taiwan!

I’m a huge fan of Taiwan especially the food, the people, and the gadgets and tech that you’ll find at any number of places in Taipei. But for the first timer, it can be a foreign experience to say the least.

In my very first Vlog which we’ll call Vlog #1, I’ll be covering some of the basics of getting yourself started in Taiwan when you hit the ground at the airport. This will include getting a SIM card so you can grab an Uber, look for directions, and translate your English to Mandarin for the locals, as well as basics like trying to get cash from an ATM.

Taiwan is a place that’s worth coming out of your comfort zone for. I hope my first Vlog inches you a bit further out the door.
