The first hotel I stayed at during my trip to Europe was the WYSSES RÖSSLI SCHWYZ HOTEL in Ibach, Switzerland. It was a cool little hotel in a town that looked like it came straight out of the ‘Sound of Music’. But I think the next hotel I stayed at in Solingen, Germany was even cooler.

The Grafather Hof Hotel & Restaurant in Solingen, Germany looks like it came right out of some old European film. Looking out the window, I totally imagined it all in black and white.

The Solingen area is known as the cutlery capital of Germany and is home to big brands such as Wusthof, Zwilling J.A. Henckels and more. So, this hotel sees a lot of late nights of business in the pub.
