Wii are the Ones… Wii are the Children…

Although the ATARI 2600 was the first gaming system I ever owned, the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) was the system to hook me to gaming. With its revolutionary graphics at the time, the system made me a gamer. So tomorrow, on the November 19th launch day of the Nintendo Wii, I go back to being a Nintendo Console Owner. Most stores in the Greater Vancouver Area will be getting well over 15, with some reporting, over 100, systems.
Most of the people that are camping for this system actually want to play it, a change from the campers that braved it for the Playstation 3, that planned to sell it immediately. I’m still dumbfounded that one system actually sold for $15,100 US to some guy in the UK. The only problem is that the European Union is actively trying to prevent those systems from landing on the shores through customs. That guy may not even get the system he won the auction for.
Overall, I’m pretty confident that I’ll have the system sometime before lunch. There are so many stores in my area that carry it, should be no problem with the reported quantities. Worst comes to worst, I get it a couple weeks later. Can’t wait to play the whole Megaman series all over again.
