Urban Bootcamp…HooRah…Oww…

In order to get my ass back into shape, Kelly and I signed up for Urban Bootcamp. I’ve always been able to get myself back into shape slowly, then gradually back to a higher level, but this time I just couldn’t wait. Boy am I paying for it! I’ve done 4 sessions so far, and my arms feel like they are going to fall off. Today at my session, my abs started to buckle. I guess at least this means I have some abs.

I hope to lose at least 10 lbs from the camp, and maybe lose an inch off the middle so I can fit into the rest of the Summer wardrobe.

Well, off to bed. My next session is at 9AM tomorrow morning. I better make it ontime, or push ups if I’m late :(

I did a boot camp last year, but only 3 days a week.
It was a workout for pansies!
The hardest part was waking up in the morning to get there!

It sounds like you were in a larger class where your instructor didn’t come around and keep telling you to keep going, or move your weights up when you tried to slack off and pick lighter ones.

In this camp, no break was longer than 5 seconds. He keeps us moving for the whole hour. I can’t find anyway to slack off. It’s like…he knows… He’ll also make you start all over again if he catches you. and he always does.

Apparently there is a big difference between a good and a bad bootcamp. It appears that you didn’t get what you were expecting. I checked a few other ones out, saw the commercials for these huge free for alls, and this one isn’t like that. Lots of one on one, and lots of encouragement to go harder in a smaller class setting. I don’t think I’ve seen more than 15 people at this one.
