There’s Blue Fur in My Chicken Feet…
First of all, Happy Canada Day today everyone! You’ve never looked so good Canada! May we all raise a beer to the country we hold dear! 😀
Even though yesterday wasn’t Canada Day, it was nice to have a get together with the local Dot Com Crew for another exciting DOT COM DIM SUM Adventure. I had wondered if the blue furry giant at Canada’s Preferred Webhost, Blue Fur, would pick up the tab for a future adventure. Well, it looks like this Dot Com Dim Sum Adventure would also be sponsored by them so thank you Gary!
Today, we had a turn out of eleven hungry Dot Commers. Going from the left to right from the bottom, we have…
- Root of all evil John Chow and his talented wife Sarah who was our personal translator during our trip to Taiwan.
- Matthew Schmoll who cannot be seen because he is hidden behind John Chow’s Fat Head.
- Erin Berringer from Newport Business Media
- BlueFur Web Hosting’s Gary Jones who was graciousness enough to sponsor our adventure today
- Think Referrals Business Network President and Founder Rainer SchmollÂ
- “Captain” Greg Morgan. He was sober today but he still wasn’t sharing the rum.
- The blog-less Wolfgang who was also our hero at the last Dot Com Dim Sum, kicking out stragglers from our table.
- Bunny molesting freelance writer, Michael Kwan
- ME!
- And London Drugs Employee of the Month, Ed LauÂ
Apparently, Kirin Restaurant is known for their chicken feet. I’ll eat a lot of weird things but one of the things that I’ve never brought myself to eating is chicken feet. So of course, we not only had the pickled variety, but we had the braised variety as well which the Root of All Evil sucked down gleefully as everyone else just stared in disgust. We know he ordered them on purpose. We’re not sure if he chewed with his mouth open on purpose though 😆
Of course, besides chicken feet, we were presented with a number of other tasty dishes that pleased everyone’s taste buds…
If you’re wondering why the pictures from John, Ed and Michael’s posts are the same, it’s because they mooched off my stash. Where are my photo credits guys? 😛
Missing in action were the deep fried chicken knees which along with the chicken feet, we believe, are discards from the KFC up the street. If that’s true, they’d make 100% markup even if they sold each dish for a buck! I guess it goes to show, one man’s junk is another man’s treasure! We also had Pork Siu Mai and Har Gow which are staples of the Dim Sum Diet.Â
I’d like to thank Gary at BlueFur once again for stepping up and absorbing the $200 bill that came at the end. You can come to Dot Com Dim Sum anytime! 😉
