The US Dollar Sucks, But They Get the Halo 3 Action First!

So do we have a Toys R’us botched BIOSHOCK release again?  Or is it as serious as the Harry Potter early sale incident at Superstore in Canada?  Well, it’s actually neither, but it doesn’t mean it’s fair!

Will Little Johnny Stock Boy Get Fired?

The US Dollar Sucks, But They Get the Halo 3 Action First!

I made a B-line to the games section to see what I could grab for my Xbox 360, when I noticed a stack of Xbox 360 Halo 3 Editions on the floor.  Remembering back to the Xbox Canada Press Release, I recalled that the system was not to launch in Canada till the Master Chief returns on September 25th.  It looks like the US got the system early.  Actually, they got it nine days early on September 16th.  To add insult to injury, sitting right beside these systems was the HDMI enabled version of the Xbox 360 Premium that replaces the component video version.  Their dollar may suck, but the states gets all the cool stuff first!

Speaking of Halo 3… Would You Like to Get it Free?

The US Dollar Sucks, But They Get the Halo 3 Action First!

Just wanted to give everyone a gentle reminder that I’m still giving away a copy of HALO 3: Legendary Edition at the Futurelooks Forums.  The contest closes on September 24th at Midnight (that’s tomorrow, by the way).  If you want your chance to have the uber geekiest version of Halo 3 along with the legendary Master Chief Cat Helmet then you better click the picture above and enter now.

The US dollar sucking may be the best thing that’s happened to their economy in a while. Look at all us crazy Canucks spending money south of the 49th parallel.

The Halo 3 console was released on the 16th in Canada too, but the Halo 3 game shouldn’t be released until the 25th. The console is not bundled with the game. I was tempted to buy one today ;)

The accessories were supposed to come out on the 18th, but not the console. According to both Futureshop and Best Buy websites, the consoles are released on the 25th. Did Johnny Stock Boy screw up?

The Halo 3 console is okay to sell. We have a bunch of them on our shelves too.

…not like anyone is buying them but still.

Yeah, I saw a bunch of them for sale already. Looks pretty cool and is only $50 more than the regular console. I would be tempted to buy it if I could sell my regular console for a reasonable price.
Rumor is “somebody” in LD already sold a copy of Halo 3.

I don’t think it has the HDMI cable inside the box. I was hearing that it has the HDMI port and comes with a play and charge kit, but in order to use the HDMI, you would need to buy the cable while the Elite comes with it. Not that it’s a big deal if you know where to buy a 10 buck HDMI cable.

“Somebody” huh? ;)

Yup, it has HDMI connectivity but you have to purchase the cable.

It’d actually be Sept. 25, 2007 @ midnight. As soon as it’s 0:00:00 (24-hour), it’s the next day… Everyone seems to get it wrong…
