The Last Dinner of 2007…

What better way to ring in the New Year than with a BIG THICK Angus Sirloin Steak!

The Last Dinner of 2007…

I seasoned up the steak with salt and pepper and seared it on both sides before sticking it into the oven with mushrooms, onions, and some cabernet sauvignon splashed in. I cooked until I could just see some juices seeping from the meat, and removed it from the oven.

After resting, the steak was sliced up revealing a nice medium rare center. I then placed the steak alongside a bed of mini bok choy. I poured all the drippings from the meat into the pan with the wine, onions and mushrooms and reduced till there was just a little juice left. I placed the onions and mushrooms on top of the bed of bok choy. Simple and the steak was so tender and juicy. If you’re into diets, this would be a good one for Zone, Atkins, and South Beach.

So what did you have for your last dinner of 2007?

I cook a lot of stuff myself. I just don’t take pictures of it all the time. Maybe I should?
