The Futurelooks Forums Gets a Facelift

The Futurelooks Forums is getting a long needed facelift. Traffic has been up and down and I figured that it was time to try and revitalize it.  This new look will also bleed into the Futurelooks Photo Gallery as it also uses the Vbulletin Software.  Click the thumbnail to supersize it…

 

What I wanted to do was keep the Futurelooks colors while bringing in a bit of a Web 2.0′ish look with the rounded corners and the softened look.  The forum will also be the first part of the site to make use of the New Logo that I announced last October. The idea behind the logo was to maintain the URL Branding but also play homage to our original “Smiley Guy” logo that graced our pages in the good ole Web 1.0 days.

This design will likely make its way to the Futurelooks Main Site depending on how well it is received. I’m actually in the final stages of tweaking out the design with the designer, but I’d love to hear any feedback you think would help make the design even better. If all goes well, the new design should launch on August 1st with a contest of some sorts.  I haven’t really figured out what to do about that yet but I’d like to put together some cool prizes that everyone would enjoy.  Maybe you’ve got some ideas?
