The Best Webhost Ever…

You might have noticed that yesterday, we had an outage all the way from this Blog to little LaptopLifestyle. Apparently, some fiber was cut in Houston. I really couldn’t figure out how that had anything to do with our site hosted in Vancouver, but whatever. The other story was that power was cut at the network operations center in Vancouver, and we were out for 45 minutes. I have to wonder how a host with redundant diesel generators loses power. At any rate, I’ve found the best webhost ever, and I’m thinking about switching to them. What do you folks think?

Nice host you found there! The sleepless nights being their goal must be the reason they won you over
About backup power… I wonder if they tested. We ran some tests ages ago on a backup generator where I am working and we took the power off line so the UPS would take over and then the generator and guess what… the UPS and generator failed :S It kind of seems frustrating that the backup power we rely on maybe once a year didnt work… but was glad we tested. Weekly tests are now common place.
Well, I was hoping for the two Glowsticks and the Broken Toaster actually.
I don’t have anymore info other than what I heard. Fiber might be likely since the servers seem to still be up while the interruption happened. We also found out that they do indeed have a call center in Houston as well. Glad to be up though. Hope to keep it that way
I missed that plan
The glowsticks must be nice. LOL.
