Web pages may not include incentives of any kind for users to click on ads. This includes encouraging users to click on the ads or to visit the advertisers’ sites as well as drawing any undue attention to the ads.

You also need to take into account a whole load of things with adsense earnings (such as visitor numbers and niche area). Typically you wouldn’t expect to do amazingly well with a webmaster blog like this as those who visit will generally be more net savvy (and thus will tend to avoid adverts and have things like ad blockers installed).

Five days worth of data also isn’t that much to go on

Does “Not Giving a Crap” about whether clicks happen or not constitute incentive? LOL!

I could stay at 5 cents for the whole month, and I really wouldn’t care. It’s just an experiment. I know that 5 days of data is nothing. I was being totally sarcastic with that post. Actually, I was poking fun at the people that get all excited about making 25 cents a day, and call themselves experts.

We will see at the end of September what happens. I might adjust the program a bit. Maybe try some “Hotter” placements at outlined by Google’s heat map for Blogs, but I think I’m just going to let this thing run its course. We’ll draw real conclusions after enough data has been collected.
