Looking for a Seat? Why Not Have it Find You!

This is pretty cool. Wherever you go, your chair which follows you around via an RFID chip embedded into your library card. Unfortunately, I think that as the number of users increase, there might be chairs cutting other chairs off, or massive six chair pile ups in the middle of the floor. One day though, the chairs might get tired of getting sat on and rise up against their human masters and protest with a sit in ![]()

Haha, that’s pretty sweet. I’d imagine that the chairs would inevitably bump into random people though, wouldn’t they?

people are so dAMM lazy
hell with the chair. where’s the robotic wife to clean my dishes, clothes, wash my car ,moe the lawn.
im not lazy i just think robot’s should multitask
I watched this video yesterday, and all i could think was “what a frackin waste of real cool technology.” Why would I ever need my chair to follow me around? The concept is cool, the application is stupid. With a capital stup. Just my opinion.

Dude i just came up with a use for this technology.

I am guessing the speaker was going to speak to all the people who thought this was a good idea. Looks like they all showed up.
I’m not convinced this wasn’t a time laps video animation of the chairs.
This is just like an advert for laziness isnt it! Not going to catch on if you ask me.

just lifting a beer from the fridge burns calories why not conserve that energy, and put that energy to use elsewhere.
Were not talking laziness were talking energy conservation:)
I agree with James, the scene where all the chairs line up looks computer animated.
When I saw them plug back in I thought of the Matrix. We will have to be careful or there will be a revolt of chairs who are tired of being the followers and not the leaders.
It’s animated. But if the seat asks you to take a seat, you better be prepared for the worst.
