BuckingBeingNormal, is a site that interviews people that make their living, or are attempting to make their living off the Internet. They MSN’d me for an interview and I said OK! Except for job interviews, I’ve never been interviewed before! We talk about the origin of Futurelooks and the business, including some future plans that I haven’t really fully fleshed out. Oh, you’ll want to talk to Tyler. He’s got some sort of perverted tipping fetish. You’ll like him. He tips at MacDonalds. Still, I’m perplexed by your out of left field, out of context, and totally unrelated, WTF, comment.
A note on tips. Everywhere else in the world, tips are earned, or they are shameful because they denote pity, or imply that you are superior to the ones that serve you. Nowhere else on the planet are they as taken for granted as they are in North America. If you are able to leave behind this North American mentality, you will see how undeserved the tips you give out are, when measured against the scale of service around the world.
Tips are for service above and beyond. Not for “Doing the Job”.
