I got it folks! I got it! After wasting all of my Sunday trying to chase one down, my journey is over. Thanks to an anonymous tip, I spent only 20 minutes in line at the Metrotown Futureshop, and was one of 25 people to get their Wii at 10:05 AM when they opened. Apparently they got a drop shipment of about 40 units close to closing on Sunday. I was only fifth or sixth in line. SCORE! I played non-stop all of Monday. Otherwise, I would have told you guys about this sooner. Wii Sports is Addicting!
Well, at least I didn’t waste my whole day sleeping outside in the freezing cold in a tent. Look for a review at Futurelooks soon.
Woot! gratz! I think I’ve decided to buy a Wii and the nunchuk controller when the hoopla dies and there is stock. I need the excercise! Heh.
Nunchuk and Wii-mote come with the unit. You’re set once you get it. Just hunt down some component cables. The picture seriously needs some help on an HDTV. 480i ain’t doing anything for the quality.
I scored a Wii at Toys R Us yesterday. The signs said they were sold out, but I asked the clerk anyways and he said he had a few. Went over to Zellers to get Raving Rabbids too, but haven’t even opened that yet. Wii Sports is addicting!
Now the hunt continues, as I’ve managed to snag an extra nunchuk, but not an extra wii-mote.
