How Screwed Up is This?

So I mentioned earlier today that my the design for the new Futurelooks was delayed. The main reason why it has been delayed was not only because we were trying different design elements, but about a week ago, my web designer went missing. At first, I thought that she had to take care of her son because she’s a single mom. It just wasn’t like her not to reply to emails, or get in contact with me. I emailed another friend who works with her and takes care of some of the PHP for Futurelooks. What I found out just blew me away…
A couple weeks ago, while she was going to the office to work on the site, she had her laptop stolen. Previous to that, she was working on my site late, and almost got locked into her building. Then today, I found out that she was hit by a car and is in a coma. That’s all I know so far. I feel really horrible. Especially since I think she was heading down to her office, because she no longer had a laptop, to work on my site design. This is so wrong 
I hope that thief burns in hell. If she had her laptop, she wouldn’t have needed to leave for the office. I feel bad too because she was probably going down to finish work for me. I feel so sorry for her young son. Life is totally not fair sometimes when good people like this get screwed.
don’t beat yourself up aboot it… It’s the driver’s fault for not being careful, and it’s the thief’s fault for making the day bad. She seems very devoted to her work, so she did what she normally would have done.
Is the boy being taken care of by relatives?

Oh man…That really sucks. I hope she pulls through.
The boy is with his grandma. I think the boy went to grannies when mom didn’t come home
Man, that’s horrible. I really hope everything turns out ok for her and her son. Uh…don’t know what I can offer in way of support in the meantime, but if there’s anything you know how to contact me.
Well, it kinda comes in threes, so a friend of mine had a sister die on her. Apparently, it was all over CDN news last week. Headline read something like “A Canadian Tourist dies after falling out of a three story balcony in Jamaica.” So that’s three. I found out that my PHP guy has Cancer, and has been battling for 2 years so far. I never knew that. I found out right after I found out about my web designer. That was number two.
Good news is that my web designer has finally woken up from her coma, but is still pretty out of it. I’m arranging to get flowers and some REAL Swiss chocolates to her over in the UK. I hope she recovers well enough to come to CES in January so we can meet up.
Wow… what a weird month…
