Holy Crap! I got DUGG!

So I got DUGG yesterday for my little expose on NewEgg and Rosewill’s Rules for Media. I still can’t believe I was asked to agree to bullshit like that to review their products. Why don’t they just start up their own site and write their own bullshit reviews? Anyway, as a result, I received over 7,500 page views and over 6,000 unique visitors. Because my blog had no CPM ads on it, and no one “sponsored” my Google Links, I made a whole 28 cents (Correction: $1.30 by the end of the day). LOL! I guess Diggers really don’t click the ads!

RSS Goes Through The Roof!

The other surprise was instead of my usual 20 – 30 subsribers on my RSS feed, I got a huge boost to over 545 new subscribers! This is absolutely insane! My ALEXA also shot up a WHOLE lot…

ALEXA Through The ROOF!

The increase was so dramatic, it’s almost a straight line going up. I started today with an ALEXA ranking of 13,687, up from 122,000 or so.

Thanks everyone for your comments and for DIGGING. These types of requests to sites that review product should never be made, and the manufacturer should know better than to attempt to buy your confidence by buying reviews. It’s up to all of us to make sure this type of behaviour is unacceptable.

That’s amazing……

I’ve had no real joy with Digg in the past but wow……545 subscribers because of one story! Imagine if you could churn out a few diggworthy stories a week. Insane.

Seriously though this goes to show that the Digg Effect isn’t always negative, it’s just how you act on it that counts.

Actually. I’m down to 47 subscribers now. The Digg Effect was swift coming as it was going. LOL.

This is my personal blog. It won’t ever be a DIGG target. It’s so poorly optimized, that I pretty much paid more for the bandwidth than I made.
