Holes in my House!

I mentioned earlier that I was wrestling with a leak in the house plumbing.  The neighbour’s drain was spilling into my wall, and down into my living room.  The plumber was great, and got that fixed up nicely.  He suggested that we wait a couple weeks to make sure before sealing up the holes, so thus, I am in a house full of holes in both bathrooms and down in the living room.  I’m just glad it is done right and it is over!

In Futurelooks news, I started receiving the advertiser payments this month, and so far, Google is far ahead of the pack, but I don’t consider myself a “Google Whore”.  In fact, Google is my second best performing revenue stream.  At the top is still Dealtime, a shopping referral service.  The reason why Google is second is because the advertising is only loosely targeted to the content while Dealtime is totally targeted.  For example, when I review a mouse or something, the ads from Google will mention ads that are related to mice, but the Dealtime ad will give you the best possible prices in realtime for that particular product, then allow the reader to actually get the product at the best possible price.  Check it out next time you’re there!  It is a great service and revenue stream and Futurelooks and Laptop Lifestyle use it.  Though Google has its high points in some periods, it is never consistent. 

I laugh whenever I see people touting their proven performance of a whole $3.00 a day, then branding themselves “Google Whores” (and trying to sell eBooks about it! LOL!).  Laptop Lifestyle, a one month old site, just barely, is already ahead of that.  If they were just a little more humble, I might not have such a problem with it.  However, there are a lot of sites that mentor and teach people how to realize income from the Google Adsense program, and I hope to be able to pass on some tidbits as I ramble on in my personal corner of cyberspace.
