Google Adsense Case Study Update

If you recall, on August 17th, we started a case study on whether or not making money on a blog actually works. The only thing I did was add the google adsense ad, and just continued to blog away like I normally did. After about three weeks, I hit $5.70 in one day. So, so far, I’m at $5.75 from August 17th till yesterday. At this point, I can’t really predict what I’ll hit by the end of September. I’d be surprised if I hit $100, but I think $50 is realistic at this point.

As far as the placement goes, I’ve changed nothing and I’m not doing anymore than what I normally would do which is to blog away at my own pace. It’ll be interesting to see when some sort of consistency starts taking place. From 5 cents to $5.70 is a pretty huge spread with nothing in between.
