Getting Buried With Style

Some people say that they would die without their cellphone. Well, you folks can now worry no more because when you do bite the big one, you can get buried in one!

Keep in touch from beyond!

A company in Africa makes their cash building uniquely shaped coffins. I’m not sure how this is an improvement over sponsoring the cash transfer of a deposed Zulu Prince, but whatever.

The company has come up with some very creative designs that will accompany you to the afterlife. If you never got that Ferrari you wanted while alive, they can build a coffin for you in the shape of one and you can have it when you’re dead. Who says you can’t take it with you?

Apparently, the carpenters are so good that the show TopGear had them create one in the shape of a Subaru WRX STI. For about $1000, you can have one of your own…or not. Something about buying my own coffin kinda creeps me out.

My wife is really into this kind of stuff. I’m not sure what type of coffin she would want but to give you an idea, she was trying to convince me we should get these new cabinets for the kitchen that are in the shape of coffins and she keeps searching for an old hearse that she can buy as her daily driver. Yes, I am married to a twisted woman.

Better add a line in the will that says she won’t get a cent if she is suspected of killing you

Ewww…why would you want to be buried in a Nokia 7250?

I’d opt for a 8800 with a lid that actually slides with a light flick. Now that just screams classy.

It’s custom. You can be buried in whatever you want….even that Samsung phone you guys all have

Would you really want a lid that slides open so easily? That’s a little on the creepy side for me.

But the casket is actually buried inside of another larger cement box that is placed in the ground prior to the funeral so it’s all good.

I spent a summer working in a cemetery, quite interesting.

Those are some BIG buttons Ajith! I don’t know if I would change the colour. It is kind of like making a Stop sign another colour and expecting people to recognize it. Orange is RSS as Red is to Stop sign.

I just noticed that Mega Tech doesn’t have the giant RSS button anymore on the sidebar, so, uh, nix that last comment.

Wow.. People are really getting into thinking of their ‘future’. Good if you are buried. Over here, most of the coffins are burned as there’s a lack of burying space. As such, a waste of money.
