For Sparta! The 300 are BACK!

Forget Cloverfield. Forget IronMan. Heck, screw Batman! Back in 2007, Frank Miller’s “300″ was the most kick ass guys movie ever to hit the Silver Screen. This epic tale of 300 Noble Spartan Warriors that stood against millions of Persian slaves is a story that not only tugs at the heart strings, but fires up every male’s testosterone level. I’m also told that the ladies get a nice estrogen boost from staring at chiselled bodies in capes all day. Hopefully, someday, I will be able to complete “The 300 Workout” and call myself a Spartan as well…but the holiday feasting didn’t help.

With every great motion picture, there needs to be a follow up or sequel. Kelly passed along a trailer of a movie that takes us back to Sparta with a behind the scenes look at what makes a Spartan a Spartan.  Based on the greatest guy’s movie of all time, I present to you “Meet the Spartans”…

It’s nice to see Kevin Sorbo back in action. Except for that stint on “The O.C.” and the direct to DVD version of “Walking Tall II”, I hadn’t really seen him in anything else since Andromeda.

The countdown begins at the official website.

A few things:
1. The original movie was called “300″ and not “The 300″
2. Do you know that you’re still advertising AGLOCO in your RSS feed?
3. These spoof movies are getting really lame. Scary Movie was funny, but it all went downhill after that. Epic Movie? Date Movie? C’mon!

Hmmph. That’s news to me. I guess that they had like one special screening somewhere.
