Expensive Gas…

I was filling up at the local Chevron station today and had a problem with one of the pumps. I put my card in, it asks me to select a grade, but it wouldn’t register. I call the staff up on the Intercom. Someone comes out and tells me to put my card in again after canceling the transaction. I try it again. Still the same problem. I cancel the transaction myself, and try it one more time. Still screwed up. One of the attendants was nearby changing the receipt rolls. I told her that this machine was screwed up. I backed up to the pump behind me, and it was working OK, so I filler’ up to $40.01.
When I get home, I find out that three transactions were done on my credit card via email notification. I login to my account, and find this:

Wow, that’s some expensive Gas! I don’t think that much gas can even FIT in my car! Apparently, I need to fill up three cars too! I promptly call the station to alert them to this problem. They had me come down with the original receipt. I took a copy and gave them that including my statement. The funny thing is that the transaction for $40.01 was nowhere to be seen. Hmm…
Now the question is, how long do you think it will take for them to fix this? Well, it is a holiday today (Rememberance Day) so I’ll give them till Monday if I don’t hear back from them.
