American Experience # 1: Jack In the Box

After recovering from COMPUTEX, I decided I needed a vacation. So this past weekend, I took off for Oregon for the American Experience. Oregon is one of few states I would live in. Why? Beautiful scenery. Friendly people. Great food. Most importantly, no tax on any purchases!
Kelly and I drove down on Friday afternoon and for our first American Experience, we hit Jack in the Box somehwere outside Seattle. I ordered the double bacon cheesburger. She ordered the chicken ciabatta thing. Her burger looked like someone left a slab of cheddar on it because most of it oozed out of the burger and fell down on the wax paper with a “Plop”. Gross! She didn’t finish it. My burger was in my stomach like a brick. It didn’t move for at least a day.
The drinks were absolutely enormous. To think that mine was actually supposed to be a Large. It looks more like a Big Gulp. Kelly’s small drink was the size of a large at most places in Canada. Speaking of large, it was no surprise to see that nearly half the people in the restaurant was “Super Sized”. Both burgers we had were huge as well. It was disturbing listening to the drive thru calls…
Clerk: Can I take your order please.
Customer: Yeah, I’ll have a double bacon cheeseburger, a large milkshake, the large curly fries, a large salad, and for dessert…
And to think, I was basically rolling on the ground after my Double Bacon Cheese Burger. Brutal!

Welcome to the USA!! LOL!
Yep that would def be the US. I live in Washington State so I know where your coming from. But then again people here don’t think twice about it and I do have to admit I have over ordered a couple times
Do yourself a favour. If your friends start eating it on a regular basis, beat them up. Better to have friends beat up than friends dead
Nothing wrong with indulging once in a while, however, it sounded like most of the people that came into that place were regulars. They looked like it too.
