TIME magazine has named YOU as Person of the year. No not Mr. You down at the local mini-mart, they mean everyone. It’s like saying Cubic Zirconiums are diamonds too, or taking medals away from Olympians and handing out participation ribbons is the same as getting the gold. No, it’s not the same! It’s Miss Universe, not Universes! It’s Heavy Weight Champion of the World, not Heavy Weight Champions!
If you’re going to pick a person of the year, go head and pick one. To say that “everyone” has had the same impact on the world as a Martin Luther King or an Albert Einstein is just stupid. 2006 is the year that the “Person of the Year” means nothing.
