A Bad Day At the Dirt Jumps is Better Than…

Well, I was out at the local dirt jumps for almost 3 hrs today. I practiced at the pump track for a good 20 laps or so. Man, is it tough to keep going without pedalling! It’s such a good workout. I can’t believe I didn’t discover this sooner.
Then afterwards, I sessioned the dirt jumps for the last couple hours. Well, I guess sessioning means actually clearing them, so I guess I sessioned 1 out of 5? I found it difficult to get enough major air to clear some of the tables. I really had a good time, and I’ll be heading back tomorrow for more practice, then on Saturday, I get to learn the finer points to fill in all those skill gaps I have. I stayed mainly on the shorter tables, but hopefully after Saturday, I’ll hopefully have the gonads to session the bigger ones…with a bit of style…hopefully…
I was totally exhausted, and broke a few of the jumps (fixed them…sort of) but I’m determined to get good at it. Jumping has never been my best skill. Once I get this skill down, it’ll totally take my riding up a few notches. I guess next I can tackle road gaps…shudder…
