25 Days to Go!

Thought I’d sneak in this BLOG here at work.  Kind of a funny day today.  I set every other clock in my house to daylight savings except my alarm.  I probably forgot because I didn’t work this weekend, so Monday morning I’m scrambling to get to work (I won’t miss that!).  I grabbed my work shirt, but I forgot to bring my work pants.  So here I am enjoying an unofficial “Jeans Day”.  Luckily, they were dropped off.  I’ll change when I take a break.  This marks screw up #2, so I’m just waiting for #3 as all goofy things come in threes, so they say.

Yesterday, we launched Brice’s Seagate 8 GB Micro CFII Drive Review at Futurelooks.  I took a chance and submitted it to DIGG and low and behold, it got DUGG!  This is a big deal because it is almost like getting a Slashdot.  For those that don’t know what a Slashdot is, well basically that site is like the place where techies flock to find out about the latest breaking news in the SUPER TECHIE arena.  When or if your article gets posted, you can expect your server to take a really good whippin’.  You also make a lot of money if your article is sufficiently optimized to take advantage of the additional traffic, like the article we submitted.  Since Slashdot is super picky, it is never guaranteed your article will get the huge traffic rush provided by a post.
