I’m A Human Garberator & John Chow is a Food Voyeur

For those of you that don’t know, Kam Do is the equivalent of an all night diner. A greasy, drippy spoon if you will. This is a place where you can get big portions for cheap. one of their largest items was something called a Jumbo Mixed grill!

This monstrosity is a legend inside Dot Com Crew circles due to its ability to make little children cry and vegetarians throw up a little inside their mouths. Since John Chow can no longer eat anything like this again, due to his recent trip to the hospital, he’s become a bit of a “Food Voyeur” and wanted to see me tackle this mountain of food. Basially, he eats vicariously through me now. Do you think I finished it? Watch the video and see!
Truth be told, this was actually my second attempt at this mountain of food and I finished it both times. I sort of scare myself each time because I seem to do it with relative ease. I think it wanted a rematch early this morning. Greg Morgan was absolutely dumbfounded. I can now add this to my other legendary feats including polishing off both a TOPS Super Burger and a Wally Burger in the same lunch hour as well as destroying the legendary Feenie Burger and Poutine.

It’s All Good! WordPress 2.7 Coltrane Upgrade Successful!

December 10, 2008
I’ve just upgraded this blog including MegaTechNews and Futurelooks, and so far so good. Although I’m not sure if things are indeed “Faster” per se, I am liking the way things look. It does seem a bit zippier though in limited testing.
The WordPress folks have prepared a quick video, going over all the new freshness…
Go ahead and download it right here, and of course, don’t forget to backup. Once you do the upgrade, be prepared for a bit of a shock as it’s unlike anything you’ve seen from the WordPress Crew on the backside. Enjoy!

Unboxing the Canon HF100 HD Camcorder
Posted by Stephen on
December 10, 2008
The main difference between the HF100 and the two higher end Canon HD Camcorders, the HF10 and the HF11, is the lack of internal memory. Because SDHC memory cards are so cheap these days, it’s definitely not worth the price difference to have either 16GB or 32GB onboard. The HF10 and the HF100 are essentially the same except for the color and the 16GB of onboard memory (HF10), while the HF11 does have the extra ability of recording at 24Mbps recording in HD.
Check out the unboxing video below…
The Canon HF100 is substantially cheaper than the HF10 and HF11 and with those extra dollars, you can buy extra memory cards or take advantage of the advanced hot shoe by adding an external mic or video light, making this into a great camcorder for the amateur videographer. Look for this machine to make an appearance in an upcoming DotComPho Episode.
